Poltroon

Poltroon is the no-holds-barred project of Ōtautahi musicians Reuben Derrick and Joseph McCallum.

Instrumentation includes drums, saxophone, clarinets and other resonating objects. Poltroon perform rituals of ecstatic improvised music that dances in your head, perhaps conjuring forgotten voices and exorcising latent demons.

These rhythms and melodies emerge at points towards and beyond the end of physical and musical endurance, when Poltroon unleash their full acoustic energy.
